OW! MY LIVER! Facts About Liver Failure

What is Liver Failure?

Liver failure is a life-threatening condition in which there is a severe deterioration of liver function. The liver is a vital organ located in the right upper area of your abdomen under the ribs. Liver failure is caused by liver damage. Which makes it difficult or impossible for the liver to function normally in processes that are critical to life and your overall health including:

  • Clearing the blood of toxins
  • Making bile that assists with digestion
  • Metabolizing medications and other substances
  • Producing proteins, enzymes, and healthy blood
  • Blood Clotting
  • Removing waste
  • Storing vitamins, minerals and energy
There are two general types of liver failure:
  • Acute liver failure is a failure of liver function that occurs suddenly due to such conditions as an overdose of acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ingestion of toxic substances.
  • Chronic liver failure is a deterioration of liver function that occurs over a long period of time, generally months to years. Chronic liver failure is the most common form of liver failure and is generally due to long-term liver diseases, such as cirrhosis of the liver and hemochromatosis.
Symptoms of early liver failure can be vague and similar to many other less serious diseases, such as chronic fatigue syndrome or viral gastroenteritis. A hallmark symptom of advancing liver failure is jaundice, a yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, and a sudden swelling of the joints, toes and fingers followed by excruciating pain, also known as Gout.
In some cases of acute liver failure, rapid diagnosis and treatment may reverse the condition. However, once permanent liver damage has occurred due to either acute or chronic liver damage, according to MD alopathic medicine, it cannot be reversed or cured ( Not True. See Below. ). Patient compliance with a good treatment plan may be able to slow or stop progression of liver damage and minimize complications.
Liver failure is a life-threatening condition that is often fatal because it drastically affects the liver’s ability to function normally. Seek prompt medical care if you have a history of chronic disease, such as hepatitis, Congestive Heart Failure, or cirrhosis of the liver, and unexplained symptoms, such as nausea, fatigue, diarrhea or weakness. In addition, if you have any form of liver disease or liver failure, do not take any supplements, over-the-counter medications or prescription drugs without consulting your health care provider. This is because the liver may not be able to clear the drugs from the body, resulting in dangerous, toxic levels of chemicals or and other harmful substances in the body.
Seek immediate medical care (call 911) if you, or someone you are with, have symptoms of acute or advanced chronic liver failure, such as shakiness, jaundice, confusion, shortness of breath, abdominal swelling, or a change in consciousness or alertness. You should also seek immediate medical care (call 911) if you, or someone you are with, have overdosed on a drug or ingested a toxic substance.
SYMPTOMS

What are the symptoms of liver failure?

Early symptoms of liver failure are often not specific and may be confused with symptoms of many other conditions, such as Indigestion, viral Gastroenteritis, or Gout.

CAUSES

What causes liver failure?

Liver failure is due to underlying liver diseases or toxins, that often cause progressive damage to the liver. Liver Disease generally begins with inflammation and enlargement of the liver, which may be reversed with medical treatment in some cases, and/or Body Cleanses. Left untreated, liver inflammation leads to fibrosis (scarring) of the liver tissue.
TREATMENTS

How is liver failure treated?

Scar tissue formed in the liver due to advanced liver disease, which causes liver failure to be permanent.( But doesn't have to be.) The goal of treatment is to stop or slow the progression of damage to the liver and minimize and quickly treat any other complications and coexisting conditions, such as portal hypertension and hemorrhage. Treatment plans include a multifaceted and individualized approach that varies including mass amounts of Vitamins & Minerals in the proper form and dose.

Now for the Truth......

I know from personal experience that chronic Liver failure can be reversed.
Despite my MD telling me otherwise.

I had consulted with Dr. Peter Glidden ND ( not MD ) a Nauturalpathic Doctor, Protege of the famous Dr Joel Wallach ND
Who put me on a regiment for 8 weeks that saved my life!
  • First he had me stop eating all the bad foods to increase my absorption and reduce toxicity & reduce inflammation. No Gluten, hydrogenated oil, Oil of ANY type, no Fried Foods,
  • Next, I had to Juice every morning with Beet juice. one oz week 1. 2oz week 2. 3oz week 3. 4oz week 4 and 5. Then down step, 3oz week 6. 2oz week 7. 1oz week 8
  • Most Important was an Intense Vitamin & Mineral regiment designed by Dr. Wallach himselfDuring the entire time I was taking the Yongevity Healthy Start Pack and a special blend on Selenium in large doses.

When I went back for follow up tests my MD was shocked! I had 1/3 liver function back as well as improved kidney function! She didn't know how to respond and was quite along time, then finally said. " I think this is something we should monitor over time."
Her Ego wouldn't let her say she had been wrong!

I still go to her from time to time because my medical coverage covers any lab work I ask her to give me. But I rarely take her or any MD advise as Gospel. I run it by my ND and get both points of view before deciding myself whats best.

You cant take advise from an MD on a long healthy life when their life span averages in the low 50 years
Don't get me wrong, I respect MD's for the ability to save lives in trauma situations,If I get in a car wreck and have internal bleeding, get the MD now! but the average MD gets Eight hours of health nutrition in their entire eight years of medical school!

Prevention

The best thing of course is to Not Get Sick in the first place.

. But how do we do that?

Don't abuse alcohol,Ibuprofen or any medication for that matter.

If you follow this, you may be able to prevent or reverse many Health threatening conditions.
